      I think you press and hold the reset button to turn it off. It's been a while since I've done it. I don't know if there is any kind of parasitic drain while it's turned off. Your best bet would be to tell SOK you need to store it for a year and see what they recommend.

    I have sat on the bench watching all your's and other's video's for a long time . I've got into trying solar once I seen how far they have come and lower prices. And more plug and play.I've been happy with the xp6000. Wired separate from the grid. I'm running 12000btu midea U-shape ac and a few things 120v. I have generators 5600 and 3500 and have used here on the Gulf coast during storms and outages. Since getting xp6000 and eg4 power pro I can produce just over 20k on good days. and 7k on bad days. I like It better than generator because I can use it everyday. And not just when the power goes out. It has cut my electric bill by more than half. I have seen neighbors getting generators installed $$ but only use them when the power is out. Starting in the beginning of April 2024 so far have produced 975kw to date with 10 Hyperion 400-500 bifacial panels. And that is through all the rain SE Texas has gotten this year.....

    • @LithiumSolar
      @LithiumSolar 3 дня назад

      I've spent several thousand dollars building out my solar system. I'm not including generators in any of my videos because of that. The solar system makes a generator pointless for me. I have grid power and solar power for backup. I don't really need backup backup power. Now that I've answered your question... there does seem to be some interest in the topic, so I may consider picking up a used one if I can find the right deal for some testing and demonstration.

      @@LithiumSolar unfortunately the area I will be in doesn't have the clearance to place solar panels starting out. Also I am on fixed income so building everything up is going to take a while and so is clearing the space for the solar setup. Hence the generator. I will be starting with the minimum and building out as money and time allow. Any insight you can provide would be appreciated and helpful.

    Looking great! Typically those inductors on the MPPT are actually wound as toroidal transformers for dropping down or stepping up the voltage to get it in line with the main HVDC bus, instead of just a simple inductor for filtering. I couldn't quite see in this video if they were setup like that but it wouldn't be unexpected.

    Can you help us that have older setups that have 2P style solar installs that want to upgrade our inverter. I have had a MPP LV5048 now for almost 4 years now and I want to upgrade the whole thing but almost no inverters today support the lower voltage solar. The lower voltage benefit is huge for shading. What should we do? I'd love to jump to a new inverter but as far as I can tell they can't handle it. Often hitting 75V-80V at 60 amps on one MPPT and 78Vs and 80amps on the other the LV5048 has no issue with this.

    • @adon8672
      @adon8672 4 дня назад

      It's because high voltage/low current is more efficient than what you presently have. It's better you get the new inverters with multiple MPPTs built-in so that you can put shaded and non-shaded panels on different MPPTs. You can also use DC optimisers but they'll add cost and complexity but in return, they'll give higher granularity in individual panel monitoring. You can also use these more modern and more efficient inverters and put some panels through their built-in MPPTs and others through separate stand alone charge controllers but again that'll add higher cost and complexity. The best solution to resolve your challenge is to go full Victron or Schneider gear ($$$$$$$$$).

      The inverter is listed by ETL. And it is not UL9540 listed because it is not an ESS. EG4’s batteries that go with the inverter are listed under that standard. The problem is Arizona utilities are absolutely retarded. They want to meter everything and have ridiculous requirements. So it’s an Arizona problem, not an equipment problem.

    Well crap. When you said you were going to "BUILD" a 48v off-grid battery., I kinda expected an actual build. It is boring watching someone toss some factory purpose-built batteries/and inverter. Pretty sure shipping is a basic skill. I do however like the hand truck rework. PS: After going to that extent and cost, why don't you add a "soft start" for the heavy amo start up loads? It will extend the life of the battery and especially the inverter.

    "Chinglish" leads to funny wording. My favorite part is when they say "follow assembly rules for you will be doomed" 😂. I'm sure English sounds funny to Chinese people.

    Hygrometer. It's for measuring humidity in the air. Hydrometer is a different instrument. It measures specific gravity of liquids. Often used in distillation, beer making and wine making.

      @@LithiumSolar it is indeed. Since you called it a hydrometer and didn't elaborate, I figured there are viewers who would like to know the difference.
